Coach Swartz has been competing and a swim coach for over 30 years. She currently is an Language Arts teacher at OakLeaf High School.
Her swimming experience includes swimming competitively for the Cincinnati Marlins, an Olympic Development Team, and Head Coach of the OakLeaf Orcas Swim Team since 2008. She has been involved in developing swimmers from 5 years old to adults for over 20 years. Her focus for the team is to bring the sport of swimming to a whole new level in our community and provide an environment where swimmers can learn to love the sport of swimming by teaching them proper stroke techniques, developing endurance, and how to grow as an individual while being part of a successful team. Coach Powers-Young comes to us with a wealth of swimming experience. He still competes as a masters swimmer along with also coaching the Oakleaf Orcas summer team.
JV Coach Mark SwartzMark Swartz
Coach Mark Swartz comes to us also with a wealth of swimming experience. He was a two-year captain at Ridgeview High School where he was a 4-year varsity letterman. Currently he is on the coaching staff for the Oakleaf Orcas summer team.
